We prepare and notarise affidavits, statutory declarations, and life certificates (proof of life) for Dutch, German, Swiss, and British pension funds. Walk-in service available at our Pretoria office.
Affidavits
You need a notary public (not just a commissioner of oaths) when your affidavit is for use outside South Africa, will be submitted for apostille or authentication, or when a foreign authority specifically requires notarisation.
Common types: affidavits of identity, marital status, name change, support/sponsorship, loss of documents, and facts for foreign authorities.
Statutory Declarations
Commonly requested by authorities in the UK, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand. If the foreign authority has provided a form, bring it to your appointment — we complete and notarise it.
Life Certificates (Proof of Life)
A life certificate confirms that a person is alive on a specific date. Required periodically by foreign pension funds.
Pension funds we regularly assist:
- Netherlands — ABP, PFZW (attestatie de vita)
- Germany — Deutsche Rentenversicherung (Lebensbescheinigung)
- Switzerland — Swiss pension funds
- United Kingdom — UK pension schemes
- Belgium, France — Belgian and French pension funds
- International organisations — UN, EU pension schemes
You must appear in person. Bring your ID and any form from your pension fund. The process takes 15–30 minutes. Walk-in service available.
