If you need a South African degree, diploma, TEFL certificate, or transcript legalised for overseas employment or study, we handle the full process — from notarisation through to apostille or authentication.
Two Routes for Academic Documents
SAQA-Accredited Qualifications
Degrees and diplomas from SAQA-accredited South African universities and institutions can be verified through SAQA and then apostilled through DIRCO. This is the standard route for most university qualifications.
Non-SAQA Qualifications (Including TEFL/TESOL)
Most TEFL and TESOL certificates are not issued by SAQA-accredited institutions and cannot use the SAQA route. We notarise these certificates and obtain a High Court apostille. This is the standard route for South Africans teaching English abroad.
The Process
- Contact us with details of your qualification and destination country.
- We advise on the correct route (SAQA or notarisation).
- Notarisation — we prepare a notarised copy of your qualification.
- Apostille — we lodge at the High Court (notarised docs) or DIRCO (SAQA-verified docs).
- Return — we return your legalised documents by your preferred method.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I get my TEFL certificate apostilled?
Yes. We notarise the certificate and obtain a High Court apostille. This is accepted in most countries for TEFL employment.
Do I need the original qualification?
Yes — we need the original to prepare a notarised copy. We return both the original and the notarised/apostilled copy to you.
